Yesterday a video got shared around of Jonathan Drouin being sat out from a team drill, the drill was being ran for 30 minutes, and St. Louis had Drouin sit on the bench and watch for the full time.

Drouin definitely has the skill to be an elite player, but during his time in Montreal, he has had constant battles with physical injuries and also suffered from some mental health issues.
During his career, his season high in goals is 21 and points in 53, but watching highlights of Drouin, everyone knows he is capable of much more. Unfortunately though, his work ethic and drive does not match his skill.

St. Louis had a press conference the other day where he shared his plans for Jonathan Drouin:
I have a plan for all players. All players have value and whether they are on the ice or not, I want to increase their value.

Jonathan is coming back from surgery and he is not at the same physical level as the others. I'm going to put him in a position to be successful on the ice. He still has the potential to put up a lot of points.
