The offseason started off hot and heavy with some big trades and free agent signings.
However as of late, teams haven't been up to too much, but we may see another trade shortly between two contending Canadian teams.
According to an unsubstantiated source Hockey24/7, the Leafs and Oilers are working on a trade to send defenceman Justin Holl, to the Oilers for forward Jesse Puljujarvi.
Holl, 30, had 3 goals and 23 assists in 69 games last year for the blue and white and was widely regarded as a liability on defence, but that may have just been overblown by the Toronto media.
Puljujarvi, 24, is coming off his best professional campaign where he notched 36 points including 14 goals and 22 assists. He could add some much needed depth scoring for the Leafs.
The Oilers General Manager has been trying to trade Jesse Puljujarvi for a while even before signing him to a one year $3 million dollar contract extension.
