Evander Kane started off the 2022-23 NHL season very strong, scoring 5 goals and 13 points in 14 games. Unfortunately though he hasn't played since November 8th when in a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Pat Maroon accidentally stepped on his wrist with his skate, slicing it open deep and Kane was forced to have emergency surgery.
But since arriving in Edmonton, he has apparently fit in like a glove, and it seems like all his poor behaviours are behind him.
While he has been out of the Oilers lineup, he has been pretty active in the Edmonton community. It was revealed on social media that on Thursday, he gave 100 high school students a shopping spree.
Something that even brought a tear to my eye that was a beautiful gesture is when he found out that 2 of those 100 students used that money to buy some food for their household, he gave them each an extra $250 to enjoy for themselves.
