REPORT: Elliotte Friedman Reveals A New Western Conference Favorite For Patrick Kane
Patrick Kane currently remains unsigned but Elliotte Friedman has revealed a new favorite for the future Hall-of-Famer.
In today's 32 Thoughts Podcast hosted by insiders Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek, Friedman dropped a bombshell regarding Patrick Kane and where he may sign.
Friedman on 32 Thoughts says a reputable source told him that if he was putting down money on where Patrick Kane is gonna go he would put money down on Dallas 👀
"But I had someone — and this is a relatively smart individual — he said if he was putting down money, he would put down money on #TexasHockey. The only thing this person said to me about Dallas that he doesn't like for Kane is the #Stars don't have great travel." #NYR
The Stars would be an interesting option for Kane as they already have one of the best top nine's in the NHL and the addition of Kane would give them arguably three first-line caliber lines.
Friedman did mention how there was one main problem with Dallas and that was the travel. Dallas has some of the worst travel in all of the NHL and for Kane to be forced onto a long flight every few days would make him more susceptible to reinjury.
However, if the Stars can accommodate Kane, they could become the new front-runners for #88. There are a couple of other teams linked to Kane including Buffalo, Florida, Detroit, and the New York Rangers.
Only time will tell where Kane winds up signing but we will certainly have to keep an eye out for Dallas.
