REPORT: 27-year-old Defenceman placed on WAIVERS

We are coming down to the end of the season, thus ending a very exciting year for the waiver-wire.
Probably one of the biggest years ever for high profile names to hit the wire this season. We saw some former NHL stars in Wayne Simmonds and Nick Foligno. Also quite a few former first round picks, who were even selected as high as in the top 10 in Tyson Jost.
The highest drafted player to hit the waiver-wire this season was former 3rd overall pick Alex Galchenyuk.
Today it was announced that the Pittsburgh Penguins have placed a defenceman on waivers by the name of Mark Friedman.
Friedman played in 23 games for the Penguins this season, scoring 1 goal and 2 assists:
