There weren't many games in the Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche series as the decisively swept the Predators in four games.
The Avalanche outscored the Predators 21-9 and Colorado defenseman
Cale Makar added to his already terrific regular season campaign where he was recently named a finalist for the Norris trophy with a 10 point effort in 4 games, breaking a NHL defensemen playoff record for points in a 4 game spread.
While not anything new for professional sports teams, it recently re-emerged that Predators fans have been favouring ticket sales to their home crowd, over ticket sales to fans with zip codes outside of the Nashville/Tennessee area.
While this would certainly be frustrating for Avalanche fans outside of Nashville who wanted to watch their favourite team, Colorado is looking ready for a deep playoff run and there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to take part in their games.
The Avalanche patiently wait to see who they will play in round 2 of the NHL playoffs, as they were the first team to win their respective round 1 playoff series.
