READ: The Nashville Predators were not selling tickets to Avalanche fans!
There weren't many games in the Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche series as the decisively swept the Predators in four games.
The Avalanche outscored the Predators 21-9 and Colorado defenseman Cale Makar added to his already terrific regular season campaign where he was recently named a finalist for the Norris trophy with a 10 point effort in 4 games, breaking a NHL defensemen playoff record for points in a 4 game spread.
While not anything new for professional sports teams, it recently re-emerged that Predators fans have been favouring ticket sales to their home crowd, over ticket sales to fans with zip codes outside of the Nashville/Tennessee area.
FYI, the Preds have been limiting playoff tickets geographically for years. Same thing when the Avs played them in 2018https://t.co/sxnL0cJmte— Drew (@Avsfan37) May 6, 2022
While this would certainly be frustrating for Avalanche fans outside of Nashville who wanted to watch their favourite team, Colorado is looking ready for a deep playoff run and there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to take part in their games.
The Avalanche patiently wait to see who they will play in round 2 of the NHL playoffs, as they were the first team to win their respective round 1 playoff series.
