Oilers Rookie Takes A Hilarious Shot At Corey Perry In Recent Interview
This season has been quite an unusual one for the Edmonton Oilers. After all the drama, it seems that they have figured things out as the team is currently on a 15 game winning streak. Today they even got some reinforcements added to the lineup.
Perry Plays First Game With Edmonton Oilers
The team recently signed 38-year-old veteran forward Corey Perry to a one-year deal for the remainder of the season. The scrappy winger will be playing his first game as an Oiler today as the team takes on the Nashville Predators.
Perry brings grit and personality to the Oilers forward group while also providing veteran leadership. He is one of just a few players on the team with a Stanley Cup Championship. His linemate, rookie forward Dylan Holloway referenced this in a recent interview.
Holloway Makes Joke About Playing With 38-Year-Old Perry
The rookie forward noted in an interview yesterday that Perry had already won a Stanley Cup before he even knew how to skate. The 22-year-old leaned into the age difference between himself and his new linemate, but he ultimately seemed very excited to get an opportunity to play with the NHL legend.
"He was winning cups before I even learned how to skate."

The Oilers are currently up 1-0 on the Predators half way through the first period. Stay tuned to see if they can continue their historic winning streak.
