The Maple Leafs haven't quite been the offensive powerhouse this season so far like they've been in years past, and tonight fans were holding their breath as their star player was down on the ice.
While on the powerplay, Maple Leafs Mitch Maner was carrying the puck long the boards and as he begins to turn, Dylan DeMelo gave him a hard hit on the numbers which sent Marner head first into the boards.
Marner's face went directly into the dashedboards and after laying on the ice, Marner made his way to the bench to get tended to by the training staff.
