On September 2nd the Ontario Hockey League suspended the Montreal Canadiens 1st round draft pick Logan Mailloux indefinitely for violating the league's expectation for appropriate conduct by a player. But not much information has become available updates until now.
The Montreal Canadiens Director of player development Rob Ramage provided the following update on Logan Mailloux's development.
«Logan has put his head down and gone to work in everything that's been asked of him through this period of penance, rehabilitation and enlightenment. And he's done it with a really good attitude. I've been impressed with his attitude, and he's embraced this process as something productive and something that's going to help him deal with things in life moving forward. He's worked hard. () I think that's a good character trait.»
Mailloux's case will be heard by the OHL on January 1st and according to Sportsnet the Canadiens and Mailloux's representatives are confident he has fulfilled all his commitments and that the league will lift his suspension allowing him to resume his hockey career.
All off ice issues aside the Canadiens hope to get this young prospect back on the ice as the organization feels they have stolen a top 15 talent with the 31st overall pick.
