The Los Angeles Kings have surprised many in the hockey world by trading their veteran goaltender, Jonathan Quick, to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Quick, who has spent his entire career with the Kings and is a two-time Stanley Cup champion, has established himself as one of the league's top goalies over the years.
Although the specifics of the trade are yet to be disclosed, it is expected that the Blue Jackets will be sending over some promising young talent and draft picks in exchange for Quick. This move could indicate that the Kings are looking to rebuild and add some youth to their team, while the Blue Jackets are seeking to enhance their roster with some veteran experience as they strive to secure a playoff spot.
It is unclear whether Quick will join the Blue Jackets or if he will be traded to another playoff-bound team, which would undoubtedly be a decision that Quick himself would approve of.
