When we found out that the two-time defending Stanley cup champions would be playing the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference Finals, I dont think any of us would have pegged the Rangers to be heading to Tampa with a 2-0 series lead.
When Kaapo Kakko scored to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead heading into intermission last night, Bolts coach Jon Cooper was very noticeably upset on the bench and must have let the Lightning players have it in the locker room as when Nick Paul was giving an interview, you can hear Cooper yelling at Paul to get in the room, which Paul leaves mid-interview and races for the locker room.
Paul scored a late goal to make it an interesting finish to the game, but in the end the Rangers won and have a 2-0 series lead heading back to Tampa.
