Insider Suggests Possible Trade Between Bruins and Oilers' All-Star Player
The Bruins and the Oilers have done business together in the past but it now looks like the Bruins could be targeting a 100-point player from Edmonton.
Insider Suggests Possible Trade Between Bruins and Oilers' All-Star Player
The Boston Bruins put up one of the best seasons in NHL history only to get bounced out of the first round by the Florida Panthers. They are now entering off-season mode and targeting players who could make their team better next season.
The player that they are rumored to be pursuing per insider Jimmy Murphy is Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. RNH put up a 104-point campaign last season playing with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on a historic powerplay.
It is rumored that the Bruins are willing to part ways with Matt Grzelcyk and have been shopping Taylor Hall as well.
What A Ryan Nugent-Hopkins To Boston Trade Could Look Like
To BOS:
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
2025 3rd round pick
To EDM:
Taylor Hall ($1 million retained)
Matt Grzelcyk
In this mock trade, the Bruins would get their long-term solution to David Krejci eventually retiring and the Oilers would get a top 4 forward plus Hall who has previously won an MVP and could fill the hole Nugent-Hopkins leaves relatively easily.
