Hurricanes Provide Major Update On Mysterious Injury To Star Goalie
The Carolina Hurricanes have given fans a major update on the mysterious injury that has put Frederik Andersen on the shelf.
Hurricanes Provide Major Update
The Carolina Hurricanes announced today that Frederik Andersen is dealing with an unspecified medical issue that needs further evaluation. The team has also brought in Jaroslav Halak to fill in during his absence
Goaltender Jaroslav Halak is joining the Hurricanes as a free agent tryout. Frederik Andersen is dealing with a medical issue and undergoing evaluations. An update will be provided when available, but no further comment will be issued until that time.
While this update does confirm that Andersen is dealing with an injury the prognosis is left a mystery. This has led many fans and media to speculate based on rumors flying around.
Rumors Of Serious Illness Surround Andersen
Since this announcement, several people have taken to social media to speculate what the injury could be. A news and observer columnist named Luke DeCock has heard that the injury is treatable and not imminently life-threatening.
This wording is very ominous but I'm told the issue, and I don't know what it is specifically, is treatable and not imminently life-threatening, to the extent that clarifies things. It does need to be addressed and has the potential to keep Andersen out for period of time.
With this type of wording, many are worried that Andersen could potentially be dealing with a fight against cancer.
Basically, trying to find a way to say they didn't find liver cancer or something, which is what I was told, but without knowing exactly what's going on, trying to be cautious.
While this is all just speculation at the moment it sounds as though Andersen has something more serious than a hockey injury to overcome. As updates become available we will keep you updated.
