Connor Bedard is well known for his on-ice dominance. It's a huge part of why he's the unanimous 1st overall pick in the upcoming NHL Entry Draft. While he has forgone the option to play in any off-season tournaments, he has participated in an adult roller hockey league with some of his friends.
Bedard and Co. Get Blown Out
It's not often you hear about Connor Bedard getting shut down, but that seems to be the case here in this Men's roller hockey tournament. Connor Bedard, along with fellow 2023 draft-eligible Andrew Cristall, and Blue Jackets prospect Kent Johnson, have found themselves on the losing end of multiple games in this roller hockey league.
While it is more than likely that Bedard and his friends aren't going all out and risking an injury for a roller hockey game, it's still odd that professional hockey players are losing to everyday people.
Smart Decision?
The decision to participate in this tournament is rather questionable, as surely none of these young talents want to risk injury. While us fans can't control their decisions, we'd sure hate to see any of them miss extended time due to a roller hockey injury.
