Since his buyout, Snow has not worked with any other NHL organization, a part of his clause. However, it seems like he could be a GM once the period is over as he could have made some of the Islanders teams that were bottom of the barrel playoff contenders.
Snow was the Islanders' GM for nearly 12 years and had an up-and-down tenure. While he built several playoff teams and had many good moves like drafting Mat Barzal and Brock Nelson, Snow had some terrible moves as well like the Rick DiPietro contract and Griffin Reinhart pick.
Snow's Islanders normally were hovering around the bottom of the NHL with them having five top-five picks in six years. However, it seems like if Snow had gotten his way, he could have built the contender Lou Lamoriello built on the Island.
