Kane missed the game against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night due to a potential groin injury.
Reports have Kane injured and the injury may be long-term
It was tweeted out by a few insiders that Kane was out for the game against the Kings due to a lower-body injury. That injury is believed to be a groin injury.
Hearing Kane is nursing a groin issue. Questionable for tonight.
Elliotte Friedman also confirmed Kane was out of the lineup.
The Oilers called up forward
Raphael Lavoie earlier today, knowing that they would need him to step into the lineup to replace Kane. This is how the Oilers set up the teams lines without Kane:
Kane has 23 points in 32 games this season playing on the second line and second powerplay. He has not been great, but he has also not been terrible. The Oilers will miss him though as he is still a top-six forward on the team, along with someone who can take penalties.
