To say the Christian Dvorak experiment in Montreal hasn't worked out well would be an understatement. The Montreal Canadiens traded a 1st and 2nd round pick for Dvorak this past summer after losing Jesperi Kotkaneimi to the Carolina Hurricanes via offer sheet.

Dvorak only has 16 points in 34 games this season and has struggled in a top 6 center role, showing he clearly fits better on the 3rd line at center or on the wing. Unfortunately it was his ability to play center that attracted the Habs to him.

Today though on the Jeff Marek Podcast Elliotte Friedman shared the following.

"One guy I am wondering about who it didn't play last night is (Christian) Dvorak...I've heard there is some traction in the West from teams who have seen him quite a bit and they're like, this isn't him, so we'll see where it goes."

Friedman also added:

"You know who a lot of people are thinking is going to end up in Calgary, potentially? There's a number of teams that are penciling in Tyler Toffoli w/ Calgary & it makes a ton of sense, they're looking for secondary scoring, there's the Darryl Sutter connection."

With the Canadiens clearly in a sell now mode they're likely the team to watch.
