Crazy Revelation Shows a Cruel Reality of Being Fired as an NHL GM
The NHL offseason is known for crazy trades and blockbuster signings. With this, it must be hard for GMs to keep track of everything and everybody.
Today, NHL insider Chris Johnston revealed what NHL GMs do once one is fired:
Obviously, this is hilarious in its own right but it also makes a lot of sense. If a former GM were to be in a group chat with active GMs, it would cause chaos.
The Practicality of the Group Chat
Having a group chat with all of the active GMs is a game changer because it allows them all to congregate in one spot and it gives them a place to post what they want to acquire and what they are willing to give up.
This also is a good place for GMs to also crack jokes according to Johnston because while it is off the books, it appears business can be ignited through the chat and GMs have surely brokered many trades that began through the chat.
