Coyotes Hastily Fire Social Media Manager After Failed Campaign
A few days ago, the Arizona Coyotes had their Tempe Arena plan shot down resulting in them scrambling and needing to find somewhere to play. The Coyotes social media admin decided it would be a good idea to ask the fans where they should move to but upper management did not think the same.
When comparing the two timestamps of the tweets, the original at 3:02 pm and the job posting at 4:06 pm on the same day, it can be determined that the person who gave this tweet the greenlight was fired
Was This Too Harsh?
The public consensus was that it was a bit too harsh given the harmlessness of the original tweet. While it makes sense that management may be a little tense, it seems a tad harsh to take away a person's livelihood over a tweet like that.
Overall, both party's perspectives are understandable while it seems like an overreaction on the Coyotes' behalf but there was a lot that went on recently and they must be still in damage control and any extra damage will hurt the teams reputation.
