The Battle of Alberta is over after the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Calgary Flames 5-4 in overtime to win the series in a surprising 5 game series.

However some Flames fans feel they got screwed last night as with the game tied 4-4 in the 3rd period period, with 5:57 left in the period it looked like the Calgary Flames regained the lead by when Blake Coleman knocked in a loose puck past Mike Smith. But like most goals this playoffs, it immediately went under review to make sure they get the call right.
First the referees checked to make sure everyone entered the zone onside. All Flames players were onside. Then after they checked to see if Blake Coleman kicked the puck into the net which in my opinion looked like it was kicked in.
Its tough to tell if Coleman turns his foot to either try to stop from crashing into the net or to knock the puck in. The call would come down as a no goal from the League causing Flames fans to feel robbed especially with The Oilers winning it in Overtime.
Former NHL'er and Hit hockey Podcaster of Spittinchiclets Ryan Whitney agrees with the call and would describe to fans why it was indeed the right call.
But TSN Hockey Insider Craig Button Believe's "the League blew the call"
