Brock Boeser's mother post heartbreaking message
It has been an emotional season for Canucks forward Brock Boeser.
His father Duke is currently battling Parkinson's disease as well as having suffered a brain injury in a car accident.
Brock's mother Laurie recently posted an update on social media regarding Brock's fathers health, requesting thoughts and prayers as he continues to battle his disease.
Brock Boeser's mother Laurie posted this update on the family's public Caring Bridge page this morning.
Awful, awful news regarding Brock's father Duke. Thoughts are with the Boeser family. Dementia sucks. pic.twitter.com/6iRuJeQUKY— David Quadrelli (@QuadreIli) May 26, 2022
Boeser gave a very thoughtful and emotional response when asked about his father's condition:
"He's not doing well. He has pretty bad dementia right now. It's onset and it has gotten pretty bad this year and it's really hit me hard.»
Fellow teammate Quinn Hughes then responded on how the lockerroom has rallied around Boeser:
«We can't comprehend what he's going through," he said. "It's tough for him. All we can do is try to be there for him. I don't want to speak too much about his situation, but hopefully, we can be the best support system for him.»
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Duke Boeser.
