During the past week, there has been a significant amount of speculation regarding the future of Philadelphia Flyers' General Manager, Chuck Fletcher. Despite not taking action to release some of his unrestricted free agents before the deadline, Fletcher's tenure appears to be coming to an end.
There have been rumors circulating that the Flyers were seeking to implement significant alterations, and today, as per David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the Flyers are set to take action.
After missing the playoffs for the third straight season, the Flyers have had enough and are moving in a different direction.
