The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Matt Nieto per NHL insider Darren Dreger.
Nieto is able to kill penalties effectively and will likely play with Derek Ryan for the Oilers but if there is an injury, he could slide up and play with McDavid or Draisaitl.
He is coming off a 24 point season with San Jose and Colorado. His contract will be close to league minimum.
