The NHL General Manager's are having their annual meeting and per NHL Insider Pierre Lebrun, the General Managers have been told that the salary cap will increase by $1,000,000 next season to $82,000,000.

The NHL expected salary caps to be much higher by this point, but due to COVID and loss of revenues, the salary cap has had to remain pretty stagnant.
Although with the amount of revenue they seem to be bringing in with the new helmet ads and digital ads, hopefully we do not see this flap cap for much longer. Back in Dec 2021, it was announced that the NHL was tracking to make over $5 billion, which is ahead of where they were pre-pandemic.
