With the Vegas Golden Knights battling for a playoff spot, they are also in a battle with the salary cap which has made it hard to bring back some players from Injured reserve.
This includes the captain of the Golden Knights, Mark Stone. Stone who's been out of the lineup with a back injury since February was placed on long term injured reserve to help ease some of the Golden Knights salary cap issues.
Vegas Golden Knights head coach Peter DeBoer has confirmed that captain Mark Stone will be game-time decision for tonight's contest against the Vancouver Canucks.
If indeed Stone does play tonight, the Golden Knights will have to do some cap clearing as they have just $5 million in space to accommodate Stone's $9.5 million salary. Look for Evgeni Dadonov and his $5 million contract to receive a demotion.
