Kassian Announces His Retirement
NHL tough guy and former Edmonton Oiler Zack Kassian has just announced that he has retired from hockey. Kassian played in 661 career games in the NHL over the course of 12 seasons.
«To play in the NHL is one thing, but to make a 12-year career of it is pretty special.»
The big-bodied tough guy was drafted in 2009 by the Buffalo Sabres 13th overall. Kassian made a career out of throwing his weight and fists around, leading the Oilers in penalty minutes in 6 of the 7 seasons he played for them.
