After a disappointing playoff finish for the Carolina Hurricanes they're looking to make a little shake up this offseason if they can get the right price. After being eliminated in the second round by the New York Rangers, in a season where we all thought they could win the cup, it looks like they will be making some changes to the forward group.

According to TSN's Pierre Lebrun, the Carolina Hurricanes have been receiving calls and offers for their young former top 15 pick, Martin Necas.
Necas was selected 12th overall back in 2017, has played in 203 games in his NHL career and has 119 points. He played primarily in a middle 6 role this last season and second powerplay time, and still managed to put up 14 goals 40 points in 78 games.

Necas is a player that is bound to have a truly breakout season soon, but on the Hurricanes, he is so far down the depth chart due to all their talent that he may never have the chance. So if an offer makes sense to improve their defence or packaging a top 6 forward with Necas to bring in a true superstar, it might just be in the Hurricanes best interested if they want to win now.
