Alexis Lafreniere has a two-year, $4.65M extension with the New York Rangers, with a $2.325M AAV, according to multiple reports. The move was first reported by Elliotte Friedman or Sportsnet.
Lafreniere, 21, had 16 Goals and 39 Points in 81 Games for the Rangers this past season. Lafreniere was scoreless in 7 Playoff games for the Rangers.
The former First Overall Pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, Lafreniere had 112 Points in 52 Games with Rimouski of the QMJHL in his 2019-20 Draft Year, his 2.15PPG 2nd behind
Sidney Crosby.
Lafreniere has 47 Goals, 44 Assists and 91 Points in 216 NHL Games with the New York Rangers.
