The NHL announced today all the dates for the players and teams who filed for the elected arbitration process. While players can still sign a deal before their arbitration date and avoid the whole process, we now have a set deadline for negotiating.
Luckily for the Calgary Flames, they set Matthew Tkachuk's date on the last possible date, giving the Flames more time to try and trade him for some assets, after he told the Flames he will not re-sign.
And interesting date though is Jesse Puljujarvi, who both Puljujarvi and the Oilers believe it's time to move on from eachother, but the Oilers have been unable to find a trade partner for him. The Oilers do not want to get stuck with a not team-friendly deal with Puljujarvi, so look for him to be dealt shortly, and probably for undervalue, so a team could definitely swoop in and get this former 4th overall pick for next to nothing.
