Alexander Ovechkin EJECTED from today's game

The Washington Capitals have had a very dissapointing season to put it bluntly. A season plagued with injuries that saw their star players like Nicklas Backstrom, Tom Wilson, TJ Oshie and John Carlson miss significant time due to injuries or recovering from injuries, the team has only played 3 games this season with a full healthy lineup.

Today the Washington Capitals were hosting the New York Rangers, hoping to keep their slight playoff chances alive, but in the end the Rangers ended up winning one-sided 5-2 game.

Late in the third period, Alexander Ovechkin took a high hit from Rangers Barcley Goodrow, which upset him and Ovechkin went after him for the remainder of the shift.

Ovechkin ended up getting a penalty, which on his way to the penalty box, two fights broke out.

After the fights, Ovechkin received a game misconduct for mocking the referee's and was ejected from the game:
