After Game One of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Ottawa Senators head coach Travis Green has given an injury update on defenseman Artem Zub.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs started off with a physical contest between the Ottawa Senators and Carolina Hurricanes.
Immediately off the faceoff, chaos broke loose with captains Brady Tkachuk and Jordan Staal dropping the gloves.
That would set the tone for an incredibly physical tight game from both sides.
Unfortunately, caught up in that chaos, Ottawa Senators defenseman Artem Zub suffered an injury on an awkward big hit with Seth Jarvis.
While Zub seemed to get the better end of the hit, he would immediately head to the bench and then the locker room where he would remain for the rest of the game.
After the game, Senators bench boss Travis Green answered questions regarding Zub’s health and status for Game 2.

In his post game press conference, Green was asked about Zub’s health and diagnosis.
Green admitted that there is still uncertainty with Zub and he will require further testing.
Travis Green says he has "no update" on Artem Zub. "We'll know more tomorrow," said Green
With Zub being unable to finish the game, it seems he will likely miss some time going forward unless he recovers incredibly well over night.
As the Senators release more information on Zub’s injury and potential return to the lineup we will bring that information to you.
