This evening New York Islanders star forward Anthony Duclair had to be helped off the ice after suffering what looks to be a significant lower-body injury.
Injuries are a part of the game when it comes to hockey but anytime a serious injury is suffered by a player it is unfortunate. Tonight against the Montreal Canadiens Anthony Duclair of the New York Islanders suffered a significant injury to his right leg.
According to Elliotte Friedman, the Islanders forward twisted his leg awkwardly which led to the injury and his immediate exit from the game.
Through 4 games with the Islanders, it seems he had found that role as he had tallied 3 points. In his best season, Anthony Duclair scored 58 points for the Florida Panthers. Before this setback, Anthony Duclair was on pace to smash that record with his early season success. If he is out for an extended period of time this could majorly impact his success and progress towards a career year.
Hopefully, this injury will not be a long-term one for Anthony Duclair and he will be able to get back to his bounce-back season again soon.
