The New York Rangers recently called up 6'8" center Matt Rempe. Since then he has been on a tear throughout the league, fighting everyone he can. Tonight he got a chance to drop the gloves with one of the most infamous enforcer in the league.

Ever since Matt Rempe started fighting everyone in the NHL, many fans circled today's date on their calendars. Why? The Rangers are playing the Toronto Maple Leafs. With Ryan Reaves in the lineup, fans were hoping to see the rookie take on the classic NHL enforcer. Early in the game it seemed like it wasn't going to happen, but then it did.

Before the fight, Rempe glanced back at his bench, seemingly to get approval from his teammates. He also could have been looking for an indication from the coaching staff. However, his teammates were fully behind him so he dropped the gloves.
Earlier in the game, Reaves offered to go but the rookie turned him down. Luckily for fans who enjoy this kind of hockey, they ended up going anyways.
This is Rempe's 4th fight in seven career NHL games. At this point it seems like he's going to drop the gloves every night, making the Rangers must-watch television.
