On Monday night the Washington Capitals and Ottawa Senators played an NHL result season game of hockey. The Capitals still have a chance at making the playoff, while the Senators are likely too far gone to have a chance.
Ovechkin clashes with linesman as the linesman gets in the way of the puck
In the NHL Ovechkin's office in in the top of the left circle on the power play. Everyone knows this, but on Monday night, as the puck headed to Ovechkin off a deflection, the linesman seemingly forgot he was in the way of the puck
"Get out of the F-ing Way"
It is clear the linesman screwed up but was Ovechkin in the right here? If you have ever played hockey, you know the answer is "yes", but in watching you feel kind of bad for the linesman to be publically put on blast.
The Capitals and Senators play to a somewhat lopsided result
Washington let out the gate with the first two goals at 8:30, but just over four minutes later and the Senators had the game tied up. The Capitals then scored 14 seconds apart at the end of the first to pull ahead 4-2. Oattawa's captain Brady Tkachuk would bring the game within one before Washington pulled away with two goals from Hendrix Lapierre.
