Today the Vegas Golden Knights have made a signing ahead of the NHL season in just a few weeks reports are confirming they are bringing in forward Tanner Pearson.
The Vegas Golden Knights are looking to once again reload and make their way back to the Stanley Cup Finals. With that goal in mind, they have brought in Stanley Cup pedigree to set the standard by signing Tanner Pearson to a professional tryout contract.
Tanner Pearson will join the Vegas Golden Knights during the preseason and look to earn his way onto the roster and be given a guaranteed contract by the beginning of the season. At age 32 Tanner Pearson is not the player he once was evidenced by his play last season with the Montreal Canadiens where he managed to get just 13 points in 54 games.
Can Tanner Pearson find his former success in a new home?
Despite this lack of success Tanner Pearson has a good track record of performing well on good teams. With the Vancouver Canucks in 2019-20 Tanner Pearson amassed 45 points and was a crucial depth forward for the team. Then of course there is his 7 year run with the Los Angeles Kings where Tanner Pearson won a Stanley Cup in 2014.
With the NHL season rapidly approaching NHL teams are looking for any possible way to improve their roster. In the case of the Vegas Golden Knights bringing in the experienced and skilled Tanner Pearson could be the spark they need to have the perfect 2024-25 lineup.
