Last night Arshdeep Bains made his NHL debut and officially became the 4th Punjabi player in NHL history.

Arshdeep Bains takes the ice for the Vancouver Canucks, becoming the fourth Punjabi player to ever play in the NHL

Looks like Arshdeep Bains will make his @nhl debut tonight. He'll be only the 4th #Punjabi do this:
Robin Bawa - Oct 8, 1989
Manny Malhotra - Oct 10, 1998
Jujhar Khaira - Nov 18, 2015

This doesn't happen often. Proud of our community. Congrats to Bains Fam and all #Hockey fans!

Bains was undrafted in all of his years of draft eligibility and signed with his hometown Vancouver Canucks over the offseason. He played last year in the AHL for the Abbotsford Canucks and at the start of this year where he improved with 39 points in 42 games.

Unfortunately, Bains has yet to get his first NHL point but at only 23 years old, it looks like he has many NHL points ahead of himself.

As seen on Hockey Feed - Bains becomes the 4th Punjabi player in NHL history
