Paul Bissonnette issued a statement after the Leafs loss
After his season-long vocal support of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Paul Bissonnette issued a statement on social media after their game 7 loss to the Boston Bruins.
Paul Bissonnette has been more vocal than ever about his support for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season. Being an Ontario native, it's not a shock that Bissonnette holds some passion for the Leafs. However, like the rest of us Leaf fans, he also has to suffer the loss after a gruelling season.
Here is what the former NHLer and current podcast host and media personality had to say about the final play of the game and the season.
You can see the pain (or something else) in Biz's eyes after the loss. Even though he didn't call any of the players out for their performances, he has been vocal about Mitch Marner and his lack of production. After the game 7 loss, more fans and analysts are getting vocal about how this could be his final game in Toronto.
that should do it for Mitch Marner as a Toronto Maple Leaf. held out for one of the highest AAVs in the league and has completely no-showed in literally every high leverage playoff moment he's ever been in. this era is over.
Marner obliviously has an NMC which would prevent anything from happening should he want to stay in Toronto. However, with a contract extension on the forefront, there could be an opportunity to have a blunt and honest conversation with him.
We will have to see what happens this offseason, but it is sure to be busy.
