Missed Official Call May Lead to Trouble for the Florida Panthers in Game 7

The Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Florida Panthers 2-0 in their must-win Game 6 on Friday night, setting up Game 7 on Sunday night back in Toronto.

But it was a play during the 3rd period that had Panthers fans holding their breaths, similar to what Maple Leafs fans went through in Game 1.

Maple Leafs forward Max Domi attempted to drive the net but was hounded off the puck in deep; right at that moment, Panthers forward Sam Bennett wasn't able to avoid a collision with teammate Sergei Bobrovsky, who had his mask knocked off his head.

When there's the possibility of a concussion, officials are meant to step in and pull the goalie for concussion protocol to be started.

While Bobrovsky appeared to be momentarily shaken up, he remained in the game and didn't appear much worse for wear.

However, this could be a point of concern for Panthers fans if there were a deeper injury to their goaltender.

He was on an incredible streak of having allowed only a single goal in the last 8 periods of play, surrendering only Nicholas Robertson's goal with barely a minute left in what was a 6-0 lead for Florida at the end of Game 6.

There are concussion spotters in every NHL venue, and they had made the decision during Game 1 to pull Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz from the game after a collision with, ironically, Sam Bennett.

Stolarz has yet to return to the series, and the Maple Leafs have turned to Joseph Woll since then.

While Bobrovsky remained in the game and played until the end, one can't help but wonder if he'll be at 100% capacity for Sunday's Game 7.
