Linus Ullmark fires shots at Ilya Samsonov and the Toronto Maple Leafs
The Boston Bruins narrowly defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs in seven games, however Linus Ullmark was not impressed with the Leafs goaltending situation.
Linus Ullmark has called out the Leafs and their decision regarding Ilya Samsonov's usage in the playoffs during their first round clash.
🗣️ Linus Ullmark on the playoff series vs. the Leafs:
«I was surprised that they kept Samsonov in net for that many games against us in the playoffs.»

Ullmark is expected to be traded this off-season given that he lost his starter role to Jeremy Swayman. He is expected to generate lots of interest on the trade market with teams like Ottawa, Toronto being potential suitors. However, Linus Ullmark speaking badly about the Leafs and Samsonov may not make him keen on joining the Maple Leafs in a potential trade.
Samsonov ended up starting game seven despite young goaltender Joseph Woll taking over the net for games five and six, leading them to two consecutive victories forcing a game seven, which gives Ullmark a valid point to why he even played game seven after all. A costly decision by head coach Sheldon Keefe.
