It's become no secret that the Boston Bruins have been a dominant force against the Toronto Maple Leafs in recent years, with the team not only going 4-0 against Toronto during the regular season in 2023/24 but ending their year in round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. That appears to have sunk in with some Maple Leafs players, as some were partaking in a quiz with TSN's BarDown about goal horns, leading to this hilarious moment involving William Nylander.
When trying to figure out what goal horn was being played, the host gave a clue that stated 'You hear this one the most', to which Matthew Knies, Mitch Marner, John Tavares, and Auston Matthews all quickly figured out that it was their own. Unfortunately for Nylander, he didn't quite put that together, as he slipped up and said Boston, before breaking into laughter when the host revealed the true answer.
The moment was hilarious, with fans all over social media enjoying the moment from the ever-popular Willy Styles, but it may just underscore how dominant Boston has been to the point where a Leafs player believes that answer could be Boston. Earlier in the quiz, Nylander hinted at what was to come, as the players were all asked about opposing goal horns, to which most players stated they don't like hearing them on the road as it means the opposition scored, but for Nylander, he commented once more that 'we hear Boston's a lot', underscoring just how big the rivalry is.
Ultimately, the quiz was all in good fun, and everyone involved looked to have a great time, but it's safe to say that when these two teams meet again, the Bruins social media team may have something to say about it.
