The San Jose Sharks newest star Macklin Celebrini left last night's preseason game against the Utah HC with a lower body injury.
Unfortunately, last night, the Sharks were in action for a preseason game and Macklin Celebrini had to leave the ice following a dangerous collision with the boards.
Celebrini was trying to score on a breakway when he lost his footing and collided into the boards.
Check out the incident in the following video:
As of now, no updates were released on Celebrini's health. However, if he were to miss some time, the Sharks would be in a tough spot.
The hype in San Jose is through the roof for the new player, and it would be a big loss for the team if they had to play their first regular season games without him.
After spending the last season at the bottom of the NHL stands, fans are ready to win again and without Celebrini, it won't be an easy task.
Last season, in the NCAA, Celebrini showed his great talent, scored 64 poitns in 38 games with Boston University. If he manages to bring the same production to the NHL, he could be on his way to have a great season, which could even lead him to the Calder Trophy.
Updates on Celebrini's health will follow.
