One frustrated Sharks fan is calling out a lack of leadership from San Jose captain Logan Couture, as opposed to injured Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog.

The San Jose Sharks are once again nowhere near a postseason spot, all but assuring themselves of the last place spot in the Western Conference thanks to yet another struggling year of their rebuild.
Unfortunately, they've been without captain Logan Couture for the entire year; he also missed all but 9 games of last year as well, having not played since January of 2024.
The Sharks recently took their team photograph at center ice at SAP Center, and absent from the photo was Couture - something that did not sit well with one Sharks fan, who wondered aloud on X where he was.
Insane to me that Landeskog is constantly involved with the team, going on roadies, to practice, doing charity events and media and team photo, being with his team regardless of whether or not he'll be able to return from his injury but Couture can't be bothered to show up ever.

In a season with so many fresh young faces and rookies, struggling as they are, where they constantly lean on each other and stress the importance of being a family/team, his absence is so fu**ing loud it's unreal.
Meanwhile, Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog hasn't played since the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and yet apparently remains around the team.
Is this Sharks fan correct to be calling out Couture for his absence, especially on a rebuilding team with so many young players who need to learn the ropes at the NHL level?
Couture, who was named the successor of Joe Pavelski as Sharks captain, has 701 points (323G, 378A) in 933 career games.
