Sidney Crosby hits an all-time low with the Pittsburgh Penguins after embarrassing performance

This season, the Penguins have been one of the most uneven teams on the ice.
They have a 3-3 record, which started with a 6-0 loss to the New York Rangers.Since then, they beat the Detroit Red Wings and the Montreal Canadiens 6-3, but were back on the losing side last night, when they faced the Carolina Hurricanes. They suffered a 4-1 loss in one of the worst performances from Penguins' captain Sidney Crosby in his career.
Not only did he fail to add his name to the scoresheet, but the player hit an all-time career-low for Corsi For percentage.
For those who don't know, the Corsi For percentage (CF%) is calculated as the sum of missed, blocked, and successful shots over the blocked and missed shots against at 5-on-5. Usually, NHL players have a 45-55 CF%
Last night, Crosby was under 20% for the first time in his career, with 19.35%.
Per The Athletic's Cory Lavalette:
Over the last three seasons, Crosby tallied his two worst CF% against the Hurricanes.
The Canes are one of the toughest teams to play against in the NHL, and it's not good to see the Pens' captain struggling against them, because both teams are in the Metropolitan Division. This means they are set to meet face a few times on the ice this year, and possibly in the playoffs if they qualify.
While this can be worrying for Crosby, who's 39 years old, let's remind everyone that he has six points in six games, maintaining his usual production level.
The Penguins are set to play their next game tomorrow, against the Winnipeg Jets.
