Jaromir Jagr, who is one of the greatest hockey players to have ever laced up the skates, wants to continue playing despite being 53 years of age.

There's just no slowing down Jaromir Jagr, who reportedly wants to continue his professional playing career despite being 53 years of age.
He's spent the last 7 years with the Kladno Knights in the Czech Extraliga, and explained to the panelists on TNT prior to Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers that he intends to keep playing despite having previously said 2024-25 would be his last professional season.
I said it might be my last year, but I'm not sure about it. I still love the game. I love to practice. I don't want to get fat. I lost some weight right now, like 20 pounds, so I feel a little bit better, and I love to practice. I just do it just to be healthy, and I just enjoy the existence.

He had 16 points (5G, 11A) in 39 games with the Kladno Knights, who he joined after being released from the Calgary Flames in 2017-18. Jagr also once owned 100% of the club, but later sold 80% of his shares in January to businessman Tomas Drastil.
I sold the team I play for. I keep only 20 percent, so there's no pressure. I just want to do what I love to do.
Jagr now has the chance to move closer to having played in 4 decades of professional hockey. He won back to back Stanley Cups as a young player in the early 90s with the Pittsburgh Penguins, who recently retired his No. 68 sweater number.
He's also played in the NHL for the Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils, and Florida Panthers.
However, he's yet to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, which he will be - but only after 3 years have passed from whenever his official retirement date is.
