Kyle Dubas has reportedly had a very high asking price for his trade chips this summer, and now Josh Yohe has revealed the key piece he wants in a trade.
The Pittsburgh Penguins were meant to be big time sellers coming into the off-season, but thus far, we've yet to see significant movement on a deal involving Rickard Rakell, Bryan Rust or Erik Karlsson.
That comes despite interest from several Canadian teams in the Penguins two star forwards, although GM Kyle Dubas' asking price remains high as he does not need to trade either player right now.

However, thanks to a report from Josh Yohe, we now know Dubas' biggest ask in a trade for either player, with thus plus more assets likely required to get a deal done for the star forwards.
I wonder what you can get in return; Kyle Dubas wants NHL ready players more than anything; what he wants are 22 year old guys that can play right now
According to Yohe, Dubas' biggest desire in a trade for either is someone in the age range of 21-23 that's ready to play at the NHL level, with the likes of Marco Rossi and Mason McTavish among others immediately coming to mind.
Ultimately though, as of right now there's no GM in the league that's been willing to meet that price, as Dubas likely wants draft capital beyond that to get a deal done, but as training camp begins and teams get desperate to add to their teams, there's likely to be a renewed interest in both, meaning a deal could still get done this off-season.
