Brady Tkachuk unfollowed the Senators on Instagram as Ottawa opened 2-0, and the timing looks like one last cold goodbye to his old team.

Brady Tkachuk has unfollowed the Ottawa Senators on Instagram, and the timing is tough to ignore.
The Florida Panthers forward also followed Jarred Taylor in the same move, according to the post below.
Ottawa opened its season with a 3-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday, then won again Monday in Boston.
Tim Stützle had a three-point night against the Bruins, and new captain Thomas Chabot scored in his first game wearing the C.

Ottawa has moved on quickly

That makes this follow list change land a little harder.
Tkachuk asked out of Ottawa, and general manager Steve Staios confirmed it the day after the trade to Florida went down on June 21.
The Senators got the ninth and 25th picks in the 2026 draft, a conditional 2029 first-rounder and a 2027 second.
Things got ugly fast. The team's official Instagram account unfollowed his wife, Emma, shortly after the deal broke, and owner Michael Andlauer has since pointed to the influence of Tkachuk's family when talking about how it all fell apart.

Florida's start has been rougher

Tkachuk has not found his footing with the Panthers yet.
Through Florida's first three games he has no points and a minus-3 rating, and the club has just one win.
Ottawa, on the other hand, looks like a team enjoying a fresh start.
Chabot is settling into the captaincy, Stützle is producing, and Ullmark made 27 saves in the opener.
That is a lot of good energy for a group that spent the summer answering questions about the guy who is no longer on the roster.
Brady Tkachuk has not explained the unfollow, and he may never.
Still, after everything this offseason, it feels like the very last page of a messy breakup.
Ottawa plays tonight in Detroit and its home opener on Thursday against the Flyers.
