'You Have That Conversation': Top NHL Insider Throws Juuse Saros' Name Into Trade Talks

NHL analyst Jeff Marek speculated that the Nashville Predators could consider trading goaltender Juuse Saros if GM Barry Trotz feels like they need another rebuild.
The Nashville Predators are once again off to a very inconsistent start this year after they missed the playoffs altogether last season.
Forward Steven Stamkos continues to struggle with only two goals, while veteran Ryan O'Reilly recently threw himself under the bus after a poor performance.
If things continue the way they are, there could be major changes in store for them. NHL analyst Jeff Marek recently speculated that GM Barry Trotz could choose that it's time to trade goaltender Juuse Saros rather than ask him to go through another rebuilding process.
Marek also name dropped the Edmonton Oilers, who have notoriously experienced goalie issues in the past several seasons.
I know the contract is lengthy and it's not small, but if you're not talking about looking at Juuse Saros, then what are we doing here? You can't ask a player to go through two rebuilds. And if this is the (way) Nashville is going to go, I would expect that Barry Trotz would have that conversation with Juuse Saros. Look, this is the direction we're going to go. Acquiring Juuse Saros Would Be Major For The Oilers
The Oilers confused and frustrated their fans when GM Stan Bowman did not make any meaningful moves to improve their goaltending during the summer.
If he were to somehow swing a trade for Saros, who could thrive on a better team like the Oilers, it would immediately move things forward for their team and give them a bonafide true starter.
