The Montreal Canadiens have had Vincent Lecavalier in their front office for years, and now he may be preparing to step behind the bench with Martin St. Louis.

Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis, the current Head Coach of the Montreal Canadiens were teammates for years in Tampa Bay, and now it appears as though they may be linking up once more. According to reports, he has expressed an interest in coaching, with the team preparing to add him onto the staff to take care of this young, talented powerplay.
«There are some whispers behind the scenes that he could even step behind the bench alongside his longtime friend, Martin St-Louis, to replace Alex Burrows as an assistant.» - RDT

It hasn't been confirmed whether or not an official offer has yet been made, as Lecavalier still resides in Florida, but with a young group that includes Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield among others, it must be a tempting career move for Lecavalier.
«It will be interesting to see what Vincent Lecavalier's role eventually becomes with the Habs.»

- Stu Cowan, Montreal Gazette
The team doesn't appear to be a Stanley Cup Playoff contender yet, but with some highly talented prospects coming through the organization, the addition of Lecavalier would give them another major boost and make them a potential threat of the future in the Eastern Conference.
