Patrik Laine Accused of Disrespecting Alex Ovechkin After Comments in Interview Today
Montreal Canadiens forward Patrick Laine made a controversial comment about Alex Ovechkin ahead of their playoff series against the Capitals.
The Montreal Canadiens shocked many fans around the NHL including their own by making the playoffs this year.
It was an awesome year for the young team and their fans, but they now face a daunting first-round matchup against the Washington Capitals.
The entire team will have to play at their very best if they want a chance to take down the Eastern Conference winners.

In an interview today he was asked what it meant to be facing off against Alex Ovechkin, and his nonchalant response drew heavy criticism.
Fans were not happy with Laine as this comment came across as disrespectful and rude.
Laine ended the regular season on quite the cold streak, scoring just 2 goals over his last ten games.
