Kirby Dach has the potential to be a star in Montreal, and now that he's back and seemingly healthy, he could be a game-change for them in 2025/26.

The Montreal Canadiens have a very bright future ahead, and after making the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2025, and with a young core taking a step forward, the belief is that they can be just as good, if not better in 2025/26.
As always however, that's dependant on injuries, and one player that could be an x-factor is Kirby Dach, who missed most of last season after an injury, appearing in just 57 games before his season was ended.

Canadiens Forward Makes Surprise Return to the Ice

On Monday, it was revealed that the 24-year old was officially back on the ice following his injury recovery, with videos surfacing of him at the Canadiens practice facility.
Unfortunately, reporter Marc-Olivier Cook revealed that he didn't appear to be at 100%, as there were some concerns that he was looking a little slow and rusty, meaning that he may not be back to full health before training camp.

How Dach's Recovery Could Impact Montreal's Playoff Hopes

However, if Dach can take to the ice this season, he's going to give the Canadiens much needed depth down the middle, and after posting 60 points in his two healthy seasons with the team, he could be a huge help for their playoff hopes in 2025.
Not only does Dach bring solid depth scoring, but at 6-foot-4, 224 pounds, he's clearly got the physicality to be a difference maker, something this team missed in their matchup with the Washington Capitals in 2025.
Heading into the new season, fans are once again hoping for a breakout campaign for the 24-year old, and if he can stay healthy, there's a major possibility of that happening, and with the combination of size, skill and speed, if he finally puts it all together, this could be a big year in Montreal.
